The Sivakasi Lions Club was started in 1961 and chartered on December 3, 1961. Navigated by many philanthropists, The Sivakasi Lions Club has done yeoman service for the upliftment of the Poor by medical services, hunger eradication and Educational Needs. The Sivakasi Lions Matriculation School is one of the permanent project for the Sivakasi Citizens. At present, the Sivakasi Club with a strength of 225 members is in Lions District 324A comprising Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari Districts.
